I'm Sanika Inamdar,
an architect and environmental psychologist who understands what it's like when your space works against you.
I spent 6 years scaling startups, building products, and leading growth.
I have a B.Arch and an MSc in Environmental Psychology from the University of Surrey.
I've taught architecture, and built platforms that served thousands of users.
But the work that matters most to me now sits at the intersection of three things:
How built environments affect nervous systems
How neurodivergent brains process space differently
How small, thoughtful changes can shift how you feel every day
After years of burnout in Bangalore's startup chaos, I moved to Goa.
I needed calm. Space. Rhythm.
And I realised: most of us are trying to regulate our nervous systems in spaces that were never designed for how we actually process information.
Harsh lighting. Visual clutter. Constant overstimulation. No boundaries between work and rest.
Then we wonder why we can't focus. Can't rest. Can't think clearly.
It's not you. It's your environment.
Mind Your Mind Space (MYMS) is my practice helping neurodivergent adults — especially women with ADHD — create spaces that actually support their nervous systems.
Not interior design. Not therapy.
Practical, research-backed, nervous-system-aware environmental design.
I combine:
• Architecture (understanding how spaces work)
• Environmental psychology (understanding how spaces affect us)
• Lived neurodivergent experience (understanding what it actually feels like)
This work is:
Grounded - Based in environmental psychology research, not trends
Practical - Using what you already have, not massive renovations
Gentle - Small shifts, not overwhelming overhauls Human - Shaped by real bodies, real homes, real nervous systems
Most environments are designed for an imaginary "average" person.
Many of us are not that person.
MYMS is about designing with sensitivity — not around it.
I live in Goa. I surf most mornings. I work with clients over Google Meets/Zoom.
I help people understand why their bedroom drains them, why their workspace kills focus, why "just declutter" never works.
Then we make it better. Gently. Practically. In ways that last.
If your space feels hard and you don't know why, I can help you figure it out.
• M.Sc. Environmental Psychology, University of Surrey, UK
• B.Arch, Institute of Design Environment & Architecture, India
• Former Assistant Professor of Architecture
• 6+ years scaling startups and building user-centric products
• Co-founded two venture-backed startups (Protostaff, Furritas)
I'm neurodivergent. I know what it's like when your environment exhausts you.
I've lived the burnout. The overstimulation. The "why can't I just be normal?" feelings.
And I've learned: it's not about being normal.
It's about designing your life, including your physical space, to work with your nervous system, not against it.
This work is personal. It's research-backed. And it's deeply human.
Work with me
Ready to make your space work with your nervous system?
Want to start on your own?
Your space should support you, not drain you.
